With strong winds and up to 25 miles of shallow water wrapping around the 70-mile-long coastline, Cape Hatteras's Pamlico Sound is a primo kiteboarding spot for all levels. OREGON
The Columbia River Gorge sucks in balmy sea breezes like a natural wind tunnel, especially between June and September.
